Dr. WANG Tianping, Editor-in-Chief of JTDP, was honored as a "National Outstanding Professional and Technical Talent" at the Sixth National Commendation Conference in Beijing on October 28, 2021. This prestigious award, jointly conferred by multiple Chinese ministries, recognizes Dr. Wang's groundbreaking contributions to public health and parasitology research.
The commendation of National Outstanding Professional and Technical Talents is jointly implemented by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Established in 1999 with quinquennial selection cycles, the program recognizes top-tier innovators making exceptional contributions to national strategic development priorities.
In this commendation, a total of 93 experts from across the country received the honorary title of "National Outstanding Professional and Technical Talent," including WANG Tianping, the Chief Editor of our journal. Among them, only two experts from Anhui Province received this prestigious honor! Up to now, six rounds of commendation for National Outstanding Professional and Technical Talents have been conducted in China, with a total of 8 experts from Anhui Province receiving this recognition.
