Evaluation on the first injection of hepatitis B vaccination in Kunshan City in 2012

Abstract:   Objective To evaluate the first injection of hepatitis B vaccination, and analyze the factors that influence the coverage rate, and provide the basis for the correct execution of neonatal hepatitis B immunization strategy. Methods The condition of the first injection of hepatitis B vaccination in all the inoculation clinics and maternity wards in Kunshan in 2012 were analyzed by the method of descriptive epidemiology . Results The rate of first injection of hepatitis B vaccination was higher. Children borne out of the hospital was the major cause of vaccination not timely. Preterm birth and low weight were the major causes of vaccination undone. There existed the situation of expanding contraindications. Conclusion The main ways to improve the hepatitis B vaccination rate timely were to promote the rate of hospitalized delivery, carry out vaccination in maternity ward strictly and grasp contraindication correctly.
