The authors concluded that HFNC was an effective strategy to improve respiratory distress and other symptoms in patients with severe COVID-19. Nursing process should consist of monitoring of the patient’s vital signs and oxygenation, and opportune adjustment of HFNC parameters by the arterial blood gas analysis and patient’s clinical picture.
