Evaluation on molluscicidal effect of 5% Metaeldehyde powder in laboratory

Abstract:

Objective To evaluate the molluscicidal effect of 5% Metaeldehyde powder in laboratory.Methods The molluscicidal effect of 5% Metaeldehyde powder was evaluated by spray method in laboratory, and the wettable powder of 50% niclosamile ethanolamine salt（WPN）and fresh water were set as control groups, respectively. Results The LC50 in 24h and 48h was1.92g/m2 and 0.48g/m2, respectively. The death rate of snail was more than 97% in the fifth day. Conclusion The molluscicidal effect of 5% Metaeldehyde powder in laboratory has reached the standard of the National Ministry of Agriture.
