Abstract:

Objective  To evaluate the curative effect and adverse reaction of Fuzheng Huayu capsule on schistosomiasis hepatic fibrosis. Methods  Sixty-four cases of patients with schistosomiasis hepatic fibrosis were randomly divided into two groups, namely the control group(conventional protection liver therapeutics) and the experimental group(conventional protection liver therapeutics associating with Fuzheng Huayu capsule). Liver function, serum indexes of liver fibrosis, clinical symptoms and adverse reaction of the drugs were observed before and after the treatment. Results  After 6 months of the treatment, the improvement levels of ALT, AST, ALB and TBIL for the patients in the experimental group were more significant than that in the control group, and there were statistically significant difference (P＜0.05). HA, PC Ⅲ, Ⅳ -C and LN in the control group decreased, but there were no statistically significant difference before and after the treatment(P＞0.05). While HA, PC Ⅲ, Ⅳ -C and LN in the control group decreased, and there were statistically significant difference before and after treatment(P＜0.05). The improvement rate of symptoms in the experimental group(87.9%) were higher than that in the control group(61.3%), and there were statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＜0.05). There were no statistically significant difference for the adverse reaction rate between the control group(3.2%) and the experimental group(3.0%)(P＞0.05). Conclusion  Fuzheng Huayu Capsule has characteristics of high efficiency and safety in the treatment of schistosomiasis hepatic fibrosis, which is worth of attention and application.
